Recruitment & Deployment of EUC Professionals for a VIP-Level Project

Project Overview

A USA-based client approached us with a request to provide 10 Level 3 End-User Computing (EUC) professionals across 8 states, working with ServiceNow and delivering a VIP-level deployment. The project aimed to replace outgoing staff and increase personnel on three highly sensitive sites within a 6-to-8-week period. Each candidate needed to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and VIP-level assignment skills for handling board-level escalations.

Achievements

We successfully managed to recruit 13 highly skilled Level 3 EUC professionals within the required timeframe. The client decided to hire all 13 candidates, exceeding their initial requirement of 10 due to the high calibre of the engineers. All candidates underwent a rigorous screening process, including two interviews, a medical exam, and a drug test, ensuring only the most qualified professionals were selected.

Challenges Faced

The requirement for candidates to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and VIP-level skills for dealing with board-level escalations significantly narrowed the pool of eligible candidates. Each candidate had to undergo an extensive screening process, including a two-stage interview process, a medical examination, and a drug test. The entire recruitment and onboarding process needed to be completed within 8 weeks, which required careful planning and execution.

We began with a core group of 24 engineers, of which 19 were shortlisted for interviews. After the initial stage of interviews, 14 candidates were selected to proceed to the final round. The final interviews were conducted by a panel of three senior engineers and lasted 90 minutes each. Thirteen candidates scored above the required 75% mark. Initially, the client planned to hire 10 candidates but, impressed by the high calibre of the engineers, decided to hire all 13. The entire process, from start to onboarding, was completed within the stipulated 8 weeks, fulfilling the client's requirements and exceeding their expectations.
