Project Overview

The installation encompassed approximately 420 meters of Cat6 cabling across 6 racks, serving Access points, CCTV, and heat sensors. Covering a vast area of over 70,000 square meters with ceiling heights up to 16 meters, our team provided all necessary resources, including floor plans, equipment, and skilled professionals.

Achievements

The client was very pleased with our overall performance and ability to meet tight time constraints. The final product met their goals and the client also sent photographs of our work to other suppliers in different countries to say this is the standard expected.

Challenges to

Overcome

The client imposed a strict completion deadline despite a fluctuating schedule. Their requirements included: completion of the installation within a 2-week timeframe, ensuring all cabling was housed in heat-resistant trunking, achieving online functionality by day 14.

Additionally, interior design nuances posed challenges for cable routing. Daily adjustments to the scope of work were necessitated by equipment realignments resulting from errors by another vendor. Gentium was tasked with rack and stack duties due to insufficient manpower from the client’s Canadian network team.

Solution

Gentium employed existing columns for cabling pathways within the work zones. As the project approached its conclusion, we maintained continuous operations to adhere to the client's demanding timeline. Through close collaboration with the client, we ensured timely submission of daily reports and photographs to mitigate any potential delays.
